Privacy Policy

A small site with a small data footprint.

Wiki Decks does not require an account or create a personal recommendation profile. This policy explains the limited information involved when you use the website.

Information you provide

Wiki Decks has no registration, login, newsletter, payment flow, or on-site contact form. The website does not ask you to submit your name, email address, phone number, or other personal profile details.

If you choose to contact the project through GitHub, the information you publish is handled under GitHub’s own terms and privacy policy. GitHub issues are public, so sensitive information should never be included.

Information stored on your device

The website uses browser local storage to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme. This preference remains in your browser and is read when the page loads. Wiki Decks does not use this value to identify you or build a browsing profile.

Shared discovery links may include a card identifier in the URL query string. That identifier selects the requested card and does not contain personal information.

Network requests and third-party services

The website may make requests to the English Wikipedia API to load additional source paragraphs for the active discovery. It also loads web fonts from Google Fonts and links to Wikipedia, Creative Commons, GitHub, and other external pages when you choose to open them.

These services receive ordinary technical information associated with web requests, which can include an IP address, browser details, requested URL, and timestamp. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Hosting and operational data

Wiki Decks is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process standard request and security data to deliver the website, prevent abuse, and maintain its network.

Wiki Decks does not currently add its own analytics service, advertising pixels, personalized ads, or cross-site tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before those tools are intentionally introduced.

Children’s privacy

The website is a general-audience educational experience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no account or submission form is provided, users should not send personal information through the public project repository.

Changes and questions

This policy may be updated when the website, its hosting, or its external services change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.

Privacy questions can be submitted through the contact route. Please do not include private or sensitive information in a public GitHub issue.
