Privacy Policy

A small site with a small data footprint.

Wiki Decks does not require an account or create a personal recommendation profile. This policy explains the limited information involved when you use the website.

Information you provide

Wiki Decks has no registration, login, newsletter, payment flow, or personal profile. The feedback intake asks only for a category, a note, and an optional page or discovery reference. It does not ask for a name or direct contact details.

Submitted notes are stored in a private Cloudflare D1 database with a random reference and timestamp. They are used only to review corrections, accessibility reports, suggestions, policy questions, and other site-related observations. Individual replies are not available.

Do not include sensitive or identifying information. Feedback is normally retained for no longer than 12 months and may be removed earlier when it is no longer useful for review.

Information stored on your device

The website uses browser local storage to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme and whether you allowed optional analytics. These preferences remain in your browser and are read when the page loads. Wiki Decks does not use these values to identify you or build a personal recommendation profile.

Shared discovery links may include a card identifier in the URL query string. That identifier selects the requested card and does not contain personal information.

Optional Google Analytics

Wiki Decks uses Google Analytics 4 only after you select “Allow analytics.” Before that choice, the Google Analytics script is not downloaded and Wiki Decks does not send analytics events to Google. If you keep analytics off, the site continues to work normally.

When allowed, Analytics may process the page URL and title, referral source, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and interactions such as opening a discovery, completing a deck, sharing a card, or following a Wikipedia source. Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits.

Advertising storage, ad personalization, and Google Signals are disabled in the site configuration. Optional account-level data sharing with Google is also disabled. Wiki Decks does not send names, direct contact identifiers, account identifiers, or the content of feedback submissions to Analytics.

Google processes Analytics information under its own privacy policy and data processing terms .

Network requests and third-party services

The website may make requests to the English Wikipedia API to load additional source paragraphs for the active discovery. It also loads web fonts from Google Fonts and links to Wikipedia, Creative Commons, and other external pages when you choose to open them.

These services receive ordinary technical information associated with web requests, which can include an IP address, browser details, requested URL, and timestamp. Their handling of that information is governed by their own privacy policies.

Hosting and operational data

Wiki Decks is intended to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like other hosting and security providers, Cloudflare may process standard request and security data to deliver the website, prevent abuse, and maintain its network. Cloudflare D1 stores feedback intake records as described above.

Wiki Decks does not use advertising pixels or personalized ads.

Children’s privacy

The website is a general-audience educational experience and does not knowingly request personal information from children. The feedback intake should be used only for site-related notes and must not include identifying or sensitive information.

Changes and questions

This policy may be updated when the website, its hosting, or its external services change. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published.

Privacy questions can be submitted through the private feedback intake. Because no reply address is collected, an individual response is not guaranteed.
